On other day this is a small, peaceful historical site. The staff are among the nicest I met.
On July 4th, the admission is free, and there are some demonstrations to visit before the firework at 9.15 pm.
I visited Patrick Henry's Red Hill on Sunday. Though the buildings along with the Visitor Center were closed, the property remained open for public. I took a stroll to see the last property on which Patrick Henry lived.
Visit the beautiful estate and final resting place of Patrick Henry. Tour the buildings, watch the informative video, and see the items in the museum. Great weekend visit!
The buildings were marked so you could tell what they were (kitchen, law office, house, etc.). However, having more descriptions for after-hours would be super useful. I wanted to learn more about the place, but I left without really learning much.
Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Nice little museum and lots of information on one of America's Founders.
Great museum and well maintained Henry grounds, but did not like how they spend no funds or time what so ever in maintaining the slaves cemetery. They let the dirt road wash over the grave sites. Sad.
